Double Your Year-End Donation to Save Lives

For most of our community's pets, it's a season of comfort and joy, filled with tails wagging in delight and purrs of pure contentment. For homeless cats and dogs, especially those with serious illnesses and injuries, there may be only suffering in silence.

With donations from compassionate people like you, the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter is making a difference. Together, our efforts have proven to be good medicine for these animals. Next year, we hope to save more lives. With your gift to our Year-End Giving campaign, we can succeed.

Dogs and cats, with major medical issues often requiring extensive surgery and advanced veterinary care, are coming into the county shelter. Friends steps up to cover the costs of restoring their health and making them adoptable.

  • This year, Friends spent $ 80,625.00 on medical expenses for shelter cats and dogs and $39,143.00 for community cats. The costs of spaying/neutering TNR cats totaled $37,834.
  • One recipient of your generosity, Arnold (read his story) is very thankful for Friends and you. The tab for his treatment of a prolapsed rectum: $5,000-$7,000!
  • For black and white Boo (read about her), it has cost more than $5,000 to make her a healthier, happier girl. She underwent surgery for an ear polyp that caused chronic infections, head tilt, eye squint and Vestibular Syndrome.

Your support has enabled Friends, along with shelter workers, skilled veterinarians and dedicated foster parents, to offer these animals a chance for finding love, kindness and forever homes. Thanks to two generous Friends supporters and animal lovers, all donations will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.

During this holiday season, please open your hearts and wallets. Your year-end donations will give other Burlington County dogs and cats the gift of a healthy tomorrow.
