Help Us Keep Pets in Their Homes
Food insecurity not only impacts families; it also sadly affects family pets too. Sometimes that leads to surrendering a beloved family pet to the shelter: an unwanted result for the family, the pet(s) and the shelter. Despite being New Jersey's largest county (by land area), Burlington County has only one shelter. We are working with the shelter to reduce the number of pets surrendered by their owners. You can help!
Volunteers with the Friends' Surrender Diversion Division are working in conjunction with the Burlington County Animal Shelter and Oaks Integrated Care Food Pantry in Mount Holly, to provide these owners with much-needed vittles for their fur babies. Thus far, with the shelter's help, we have been able to deliver an average of 20 gallons of cat food, and 20 gallons of dog food weekly to the Oaks food pantry.
Our goal is to remain sustainable and expand our reach. Help us keep pets in their family homes by donating today to fund our relief efforts.
